We intend to start the Under-12 Grupa Ceol with an introductory meeting on Monday 6 November 2023 at 7pm to see who is interested and give an explanation as to what is entailed.
While this is open to all our young pupils, they will need to have a working knowledge of their instruments.
Involvement in the Grupa Cheoil is as much benefit as attending classes and gives our young musicians a significant opportunity to learn to perform as part of a group, gain confidence in playing their instrument, learn how Irish Traditional Music groups orchestrate their tunes, as well as the social skills and community that extends beyond their instrumental classrooms.
The Grupa Cheoil for older pupils will be starting soon and would it be good if you could let us know if your children are interested. They are suitable for 12-15 year olds and then 15-18 year olds.
Please note: Antrim Fleadh will be held on 19 & 20 April 2024 and the Ulster Fleadh will be on 27 & 28 July 2024.
